Our journey began in the depths of darkness when I found myself trapped in a mentally and physically abusive marriage. After five long years of suffering, I made the courageous decision to leave, becoming a single mother of three.

In the aftermath of that harrowing experience, life seemed like an uphill battle. I worked multiple jobs, constantly pushing myself to make ends meet. Exhausted, afraid, and plagued by depression, I yearned for a glimmer of hope.

Late at night, when my children were safely asleep, I would light a candle and watch its tiny flame dance before my eyes. In that flickering light, I found solace and strength. It became a symbol of my resilience and a reminder that I could overcome any obstacle.

Inspired by the transformative power of that little flame, I began crafting candles of my own. Each one was infused with love, hope, and the intention to bring light into the lives of those battling mental health problems. And so, Depress Me Not Candles was born.

But we are more than just candles. We are a community of survivors, warriors, and advocates for mental health. We understand the struggles, the pain, and the battles fought every day. That's why a portion of our proceeds goes towards supporting organizations that provide resources and support to those in need.
